Response to pediatric emergencies is a challenge for most 911 providers due to the infrequency of the calls. This makes it difficult to be comfortable with the pediatric treatment modalities and unique presentations they present.  

 

This four-hour training course is designed to assist the provider through discussion and review of the basics of pediatric assessment, care and resuscitation

 

 

Learning Objectives:

 

Review patient assessment triangle to assist providers with determining sick or not sick and use of the pediatric initial, primary and seconday assessments

 

Review of respiratory and shock emergencies and various treatments and procedures

 

Review of pediatric cardiac arrest and the use of high performance pediatric CPR skills

 

 

Your 4 hour sessions will consist of 1 hour of lecture and 1 hour of skills and 2 hours of interactive high-fidelity simulations
